CATHERINE WILSON

CHAIR

I have been involved with Special Families from the very early days taking on the role of Treasurer when we officially formed. As current Chair, I'm looking forward to bringing some fresh ideas to Special Families.  

I'm married to Colin and we have a son (9) & a daughter (8).  Our son was born at 27 weeks, resulting in him being non verbal and having Cerebral palsy, Epilepsy, sight impairment and learning difficulties.  My career in Payroll ended as I became his full time carer.

I am very excited to have joined Special Families this year as the new secretary. I am married to Dan and I am a stay at home mum to two daughters (10 & 7) and a son (6). My oldest daughter has Autism.

JOANNE BRADBURY

I have been on the committee of Special Families for a couple of years, but this year I took on the role as Treasurer.  I have a 11 year old daughter, who was born at 24 weeks.  This resulted in her having Cerebral palsy, ADHD, learning difficulties, visual impairment and Dyslexia.  I am a full time working single parent, so life is always busy.

Special Families has active trustees who meet bi-monthly for committee meetings. We are enthusiastic and highly committed to the families we support with each trustee bringing their own expertise from many differing backgrounds.
